The latest data shows that Americans are increasingly engaged in the production of renewable energy. Last year they installed solar cells power twice as high as a year earlier.
The environment is becoming increasingly polluted, so many states are promoting green initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, such as green energy. The most popular method is photovoltaic cells, and they are most likely installed by Americans.
According to a recent report by the GTM Research and the Solar Energy Industries Association, last year residents in the United States installed panels totaling 14,768 MW, almost double the amount in 2015 when the 7501 MW power cell appeared.
Increased demand for cells also reduces their prices. The report shows that in the past 12 months they have dropped as much as 20 percent. This made the panels the largest share (39%) in new power generation installations, ahead of the popularity of gas and wind power plants.
